The college was founded to meet the growing demand for skilled hospitality professionals, and its curriculum places a strong emphasis on balancing theory with hands-on practical training within the Boma Hotel complex. In partnership with the Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS) in Lucerne, Switzerland, BIHC offers a wide range of Swiss-accredited diplomas in hotel management, culinary arts, and other hospitality courses. This collaboration also provides pathways for students to complete a bachelor’s degree in Switzerland, the UK, Malaysia, or at local universities such as USIU and Strathmore University in Nairobi.
