Our Purpose

AKBE is dedicated to the industry’s coherence and professionalism; to advocate for business events support within all government departments, and support Kenya associations, corporations, and the National Convention Bureau in bidding for, developing, and delivering world-class business events in Kenya.

Our Objectives

AKBE’s aims are:

  1. To identify and respond to issues impacting on the meetings, incentive travels conferences, and exhibition industry (MICE), and where necessary to engage and advocate public and private sector bodies regarding issues of interest and concern to the membership base.

  2. To provide a gateway to relevant knowledge and data that can be conveniently accessed by AKBE members to assist them with future planning, decision making, and marketing, and where appropriate conduct and share original research

  3. To professionalize the industry through appropriate education, certification and accreditation initiatives

  4. To develop and maintain specific interest forums with individual goals and operational strategies that are clearly communicated and achieved within the AKBE structure.

  5. To maintain & further penetrate traditional membership target markets for AKBE and to identify and develop new market segments
